LAHORE: President of the Pakistan Cycling Federation, Syed Azhar Ali Shah, has congratulated the Punjab government and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for organizing one of the biggest cycling events in Pakistan. He also appreciated the Punjab Sports Board for its dedicated efforts in successfully holding the competitions.

The cycling events were organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and witnessed strong participation from cyclists across the province and other regions. The competitions provided an excellent platform for the promotion and growth of cycling in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) praised the initiative and termed it a positive step for athlete engagement and grassroots development of the sport.

The federation also expressed satisfaction over the performance of its affiliated athletes, who secured prominent positions in both men’s and women’s categories. Officials said the achievements reflect systematic training programs and continued focus on high-performance development.

The distribution of cash prizes further encouraged the athletes and strengthened the culture of merit-based sports competitions.

As the national governing body for cycling, the PCF reaffirmed its commitment to raising the standard of the sport and preparing athletes to represent Pakistan at regional and international levels.
