PESHAWAR: The All Pakistan National Junior Squash Championship 2026 for Boys Under-15 and Girls Under-15 will commence in Peshawar today and continue until June 5, according to President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association, Qamar Zaman.
Speaking to the media, Qamar Zaman said that the championship is being organized with the cooperation of the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will feature competitions in two categories: Boys Under-15 and Girls Under-15.
He expressed gratitude to the organizers and supporting institutions for their cooperation in ensuring the successful conduct of the event. He added that the championship aims to promote squash at the grassroots level and provide young athletes with an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Qamar Zaman stated that the total prize money for the championship has been fixed at Rs. 200,000, with Rs. 100,000 allocated to each category. In addition, local and outstation players will receive a daily allowance of Rs. 1,500 during the event.
He expressed confidence that the championship would help identify emerging talent and contribute to the development of squash in Pakistan.
