Kohat – A boat carrying nine people capsized in the Indus River near Khushal Garh in Kohat, according to Rescue 1122 officials.
Upon receiving the alert, Rescue 1122 teams immediately reached the site and launched a search and rescue operation. Initial reports indicate that nine individuals were on board the ill-fated boat.
Rescue divers began search operations promptly, and with the assistance of local divers, seven people were successfully rescued. However, search efforts are still underway for the remaining two missing individuals.
Teams from Kohat, Nowshera, and Karak are actively participating in the ongoing operation.
District Emergency Officer Arif Khattak is overseeing the search and rescue efforts at the site.
