ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and central convener of the Awami Pakistan Party, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, said that today politics has become the name of hating each other. Remember that there will be political chaos within the country, if there is no rule of law, Pakistan will not develop. No one does this without the Pakistan Awami Party. We have never practiced the politics of abuse and hatred. We formed a party on principles. The rule of law is the priority of our party. God willing, this party will move forward. Our journey for the truth will continue. We will all work hard together and take Pakistan on the path of development.
He said this while addressing the “Workers Convention” organized by the Awam Pakistan Party Rawalpindi City. On this occasion, thousands of male and female workers, including Secretary Awam Pakistan Party Miftah Ismail, Chaudhry Inaam Zafar, Usman Abbasi, Nazir Ahmed Kashmiri, Samina Shoaib, Fatima Atif, Seema Elahi Baloch, and others, participated enthusiastically. Upon the arrival of the top leadership, the workers stood up and welcomed them with slogans of “Badlen gy Nizaam, Awaam Pakistan.” They showered flower petals, the top leadership thanked them for the enthusiastic welcome by the workers and assured them that the rights of the workers would be fully protected from the platform of the Awam Pakistan Party. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the journey we started a year ago, today the existence of our party is clearly visible throughout Pakistan. This party came into existence not because of any establishment but because of the people. If any party is talking about the rights, problems, youth, and the future of Pakistan, then its name is only Awam Pakistan Party. We do not have any members in the assembly. Despite this, many people are in touch with us. People are joining our cause on a daily basis. Today, Pakistan is unfortunate that the majority of the assemblies are of those who come by paying money. Their aim is to earn money in some way or the other and also to make a profit. Seven hundred thousand tons of sugar is produced every year, and the majority of the owners belong to political parties. When you are in power, the responsibility increases. The government knew that there was a shortage of sugar in the country, yet 15 percent of sugar was sold to heroin. Six hundred billion rupees went from the pockets of the people to the pockets of the mill owners. Does anyone have the answer? No one cares about the people. The country’s policy is used to earn money. He further said that now recommendations do not work, only money works. The work of the federal government is the welfare of the people. Have the education, health, and police systems improved? Trillions of rupees are with the provincial governments. Corruption has increased. The problems of the people are gradually increasing. Today, the country’s nobles are filling their pockets, but in the last eight years, the people have become poorer and poorer. It is the responsibility of all of us to expose corruption. Politics should have a purpose. The conditions of politicians are improving, but not of the people. Pakistan is at the forefront of countries whose citizens are leaving the country. The country runs on the money that Pakistanis working abroad send to Pakistan. Tell me a government policy that is benefiting Pakistanis abroad and inside the country. Will that country develop if the government does not come from the mandate of the people? Yesterday, many people were sentenced to ten, ten, nine years. If the people attack army installations, it is very wrong. If you sentence an opposition member to thirty years, that case should be tried on TV so that the people can be aware of the facts. After the current situation in the country, will anyone come here and invest? Why has the system of justice and fairness ended here? The rule of law is necessary to combat the situation. The reason for the deterioration of the situation in the provinces is that there is no supremacy of laws here. Today, politics has become the name of hating each other. Miftah Ismail said that today, the successful workers’ convention was possible due to everyone’s efforts. If we want to end our suffering, we have to struggle for jihad against ignorance, unemployment and economic exploitation. We will make Pakistan a great empire under the leadership of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Have we achieved freedom from hunger, inflation and unemployment in 78 years? If not, then who is responsible for our failures? In the last few years, three major parties of Pakistan have ruled. We have seen all three parties in power but have not seen progress. Even today, the PPP has two major provinces. The Tehreek-e-Insaf is ruling KPK. But the performance is in front of everyone. They only know how to rule, not how to govern. Slogans have no value, we have to change the system. The population of China, India and Brazil is more than ours, but education and other resources are available there. Twenty-seven million children in Pakistan do not go to school. If four out of ten Pakistani children cannot go to school, then will Pakistan progress? For the last twenty years, Pakistan has been Economically, it is going backwards. He said that Pakistan’s per capita income is five thousand dollars, while India’s is nine thousand and Bangladesh’s is eight and a half thousand. Forty percent of Pakistanis are below the poverty line. The position should never change whether the opposition or the government comes to power. People in every city, Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi are crying about electricity bills. More than 244 billion rupees have been given to the people in additional bills. We should have mercy on the plight of poor Pakistanis. 244 billion rupees should be returned to the people. In the last nineteen years, Pakistan has gone down 6 points in the Human Development Index. Nepal, Bangladesh, India are ahead of us. Who is responsible for this? The rain in Rawalpindi has opened the floodgates of the government’s claims. The rule in Pakistan should be of the constitution. If Shahid Khaqan Abbasi comes to power, the rule will not be ours but of the people.
Chaudhry Inam Zafar said that leadership is nothing without workers. Every event is incomplete without workers. Thanks to the Awaam Pakistan Party, the people got rid of hypocrites. If we want to change the destiny of Pakistan, we have to change ourselves, get rid of the hereditary system. My Pakistan Army has always beaten the enemy. On August 14, we will pray collectively for the safety of the country and the sincere ruler Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Usman Abbasi said that after Rawalpindi City, a wonderful program will be organized at the Rawalpindi Division level. When it came to the integrity of the country, our youth and our women supported us vigorously. Sardar Nazir Ahmed Kashmiri said that Khaqan Abbasi has come to the field of struggle under a vision, so that every individual, including the youth, can be empowered. Samina Shoaib said that I assure you that you will change the system together with all of you. At the end of the convention, a collective prayer was offered for Pakistan and the martyrs of the armed forces.
