PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed Marwat on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Lakki Marwat, Bajaur and Waziristan, paying tribute to the martyrs, including FC soldier Bilqiaz Khan, who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
In a statement, Marwat termed terrorism a crime against humanity, saying terrorists represent neither any religion nor any nation. He said such cowardly attacks targeting innocent people could not shake the nation’s resolve.
He said the sacrifices of the martyrs would never be forgotten and that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stood firmly with the police, security forces and all law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved families, he prayed for the departed souls, the speedy recovery of the injured and patience for the grieving families.
Marwat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi, the provincial government remained committed to eliminating terrorism, maintaining law and order, and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
He reaffirmed the government’s determination to continue efforts for lasting peace, expressing confidence that the country’s unity and collective resolve would defeat the designs of terrorists.
