PESHAWAR: Member of the National Assembly from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Samar Haroon Bilour has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by recent rains and flash floods in Bajaur, Salarzai, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, and Dir. She also extended condolences over the martyrdom of five people, including two pilots, in an MI-17 helicopter crash due to bad weather. In her statement, Bilour said the grief of the bereaved families is shared equally, praying for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and patience for their families. She stressed that it was the responsibility of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to issue timely warnings about severe flooding so residents could relocate, tourists could avoid the affected areas, and such tragic incidents could be prevented. She further stated that the federal government stands ready to extend all possible assistance to the affected areas.
