ISLAMABAD : Sardar Waqar Shahzad Advocate attended the “Freedom 250” celebrations hosted by the U.S. Mission in Pakistan, describing it as an honour and privilege to participate in the landmark event commemorating 250 years of American independence.
The event brought together a diverse gathering of diplomats, political leaders, business representatives, and other stakeholders, reflecting the depth and strength of the longstanding Pakistan–United States partnership.
During the celebrations, Sardar Waqar Shahzad met with U.S. Ambassador and Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker and thanked her for the warm welcome and productive exchange of views. He noted that the discussions underscored a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, fostering mutual understanding, and building upon decades of partnership based on mutual respect and common interests.
“The evening beautifully highlighted the enduring values of freedom, democracy, and cooperation, while showcasing the strong people-to-people and institutional ties between Pakistan and the United States,” he said.
Sardar Waqar Shahzad also expressed his pleasure that Ambassador Natalie Baker graciously accepted his invitation to visit Swat. He said he looks forward to welcoming her to the scenic valley and introducing her to its natural beauty, rich culture, and renowned hospitality.
Reaffirming his commitment to promoting diplomacy and cultural exchange, Sardar Waqar Shahzad emphasized the importance of enhancing Pakistan–U.S. relations and strengthening engagement between the people and institutions of both countries.
