BAJAUR: The Deputy Commissioner Bajaur has taken notice of complaints regarding an alleged delay in further proceedings following the completion of the tender process for the provision of school bags to students. An inquiry has been ordered, and the relevant authorities have been directed to submit a report within five days.
According to sources, the Education Department has completed the tendering process for the provision of school bags. However, questions have been raised over the alleged failure to proceed with further departmental action. The name of the District Education Officer (Male), Bajaur, has also come under discussion, but responsibility for any officer or official can only be determined after completion of the inquiry.
The inquiry will examine the complete tender record, file movement, proceedings of the tender committee, required approvals, and the reasons for the alleged delay.
Questions have also previously been raised regarding the timely completion and procurement procedures of school bag and furniture projects worth millions of rupees in Bajaur. Public circles have demanded a transparent investigation and said that if negligence, violation of rules, or unjustified delay by any officer or official is established, action should be taken in accordance with the law.
However, no individual should be declared responsible before the inquiry is completed. Attention is now focused on the inquiry report to be submitted within five days, which is expected to clarify the actual situation.
