PESHAWAR:
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmad along with SSP Operations Farhan Khan visited different parts of the city to review the security arrangements made for the Youm-e-Hazrat Ali (RA) procession emerging from Kohati Chowk Shehbaz and for various Imambargahs.
During the visit, SP City Division Shahid Adnan and other police officers were also present.
The CCPO met with the organizers and custodians of the procession and Imambargahs and discussed security matters with them. He directed police officers and personnel on duty to remain alert at all times.
For the security of the procession, a large number of police officers and personnel have been deployed, including lady police, Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU), sniffer dogs, jammers, Ababeel Squad, and City Patrolling Force.
To maintain law and order, anti-drone guns, CCTV cameras, camera surveillance mobiles, and special security teams have been deployed at the front and rear of the procession.
All procession routes are being continuously swept by the BDU and sniffer dogs, while checking at entry and exit points has been further tightened to effectively deal with any untoward situation.
CCPO Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmad stated that no compromise will be made on maintaining law and order and ensuring the security of the city. Peshawar Police remain fully committed to protecting citizens and taking all possible measures for their safety.
