Peshawar:
Chairman of the Secretariat Coordination Council, Zafar Khan Yousafzai, has expressed deep concern over the severe traffic congestion and poor management on Warsak Road. He stated that due to the large number of schools, the road remains heavily congested from morning till late at night, causing daily hardships for citizens, parents, teachers, and students. Especially during school opening and closing hours, the situation becomes so chaotic that routine movement becomes extremely difficult.
Continuous traffic jams have made it almost impossible for citizens to reach hospitals, offices, and educational institutions on time. Regrettably, only one traffic police officer is deployed to manage traffic on the entire Warsak Road—and that too limited to a single intersection—while the rest of the road remains completely neglected by the administration.
Unfortunately, the district administration appears to be a silent spectator to this serious situation, taking no practical notice of public problems despite daily suffering. In contrast, roads are frequently blocked for the protocol of high officials, while ordinary citizens continue to face pain and inconvenience at every level.
Residents of the area and parents have strongly urged the Peshawar Commissioner to personally visit Warsak Road, assess the ground realities, and immediately deploy an adequate number of traffic police personnel along the entire road, along with implementing an effective traffic management plan. Human beings live here, and this negligence is severely affecting their daily lives.
Local residents hope that the concerned authorities will take this serious issue seriously and adopt immediate and practical measures so that citizens can be relieved from daily traffic misery, difficulties in reaching hospitals, offices, and schools on time, and the consequences of administrative negligence.
