MARDAN: In light of the directives issued by the provincial government, the Regional Information Office Mardan organized a plantation activity under the ongoing monsoon tree plantation campaign. Fruit-bearing saplings, including plum, mango, guava, and lemon, were planted by Regional Information Officer Shamsul Haq along with staff members as part of their contribution to this national cause.
Speaking on the occasion, Regional Information Officer Shamsul Haq stated that, according to the data provided by the Forest Department, a target of planting 5,000 fruit-bearing trees has been set for the Mardan Division during the current monsoon plantation campaign. Moreover, one million saplings will be distributed among the general public throughout the year.
Meanwhile, Divisional Forest Officer Mohibullah Khan informed that 15 varieties of fruit trees, including plum, black plum (jamun), guava, apple, and mango, are being supplied to various departments and institutions within the Mardan Forest Division.
