PJA KP Distributes Cards and Notifications to Journalists in Swat

SWAT: A grand ceremony for the distribution of organizational cards and notifications was held in Swat under the auspices of the Pakistan Journalists Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter. The event was attended by members of the journalistic community, police officials, and officers of the district administration.
The chief guests included former Secretary Information Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Arshad Khan, Assistant Commissioner Brikot Shawana Haleem, and SDPO Syed Rahim Khan. Also present were Provincial President Sohail Bacha, DSP Brikot, Senior Vice President Asadullah Khan, Vice President Ali Sher Mian, General Secretary Dr. Zakir Muhammad, Salman Yousafzai, and other office bearers and members.
The distinguished guests formally distributed organizational cards and official notifications among the elected office bearers and executive members of the association.
Addressing the gathering, Arshad Khan described journalism as a sacred and highly responsible profession, emphasizing that the accurate and timely dissemination of facts is fundamental to its credibility. He appreciated the professional integrity of journalists affiliated with the Pakistan Journalists Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and urged them to uphold truth and impartiality in the contemporary media landscape.
SDPO Syed Rahim Khan, in his remarks, stated that district police and the administration are committed to fostering constructive relations with journalists, recognizing the media as the eyes and ears of society. He noted that effective coordination between journalists and the administration facilitates the resolution of public issues.
Speakers highlighted that the Central Chairman of the association, Mian Ishtiaq Ali, is actively advocating for journalists’ rights at the international level. They further acknowledged that under his guidance and special focus on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Provincial President Sohail Bacha has strengthened the organization and steered it toward institutional development.
Provincial President Sohail Bacha, Dr. Zakir Muhammad, and other speakers stressed the importance of professional training, unity, and organizational stability. They maintained that only a strong and organized journalistic platform can effectively safeguard journalists’ rights and welfare.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Arshad Khan and Assistant Commissioner Shawana Haleem distributed cards and notifications to Provincial President Sohail Bacha, Senior Vice President Asadullah Khan, General Secretary Dr. Zakir Muhammad, Focal Person Salman Yousafzai, Vice President Ali Sher Mian, executive members including Lal Sher Khan, Salahuddin, Samad Anjum, Abdullah Khan, Habib Khan, Habib Ahmed, Asghar Ali Shah, Hayat Khan, Hamza, Asad Zia, Muhammad Nisar Bacha, Bacha Hussain Khattak, Aizazul Haq, Ziauddin Advocate, Fazl Manan Khan, Traffic Incharge Ismail Khan, Police Incharge Akbar Hussain Khan, Shaukat Khan, Mutasarif Khan, Syed Azaz Shah Bacha, Muhammad Halal, Muhammad Nawab Bacha, and other members.
