KHUZDAR: Customs Enforcement, Gadani achieved a major success in the fight against narcotics smuggling by seizing 1,130 kilograms of hashish (chars) worth more than Rs.2 billion during an operation at the Customs Check Post Khuzdar.

According to official sources, the operation was conducted on February 27, 2026, at around 8:00 PM, following specific information received from the Chief Collector of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad. Acting on the intelligence tip-off, the Customs staff at Khuzdar intercepted a cargo truck bearing registration number TMG-872 (Lasbela).

During a thorough and careful search of the vehicle, officials discovered 1,130 kilograms of hashish concealed in specially built cavities inside the truck. The narcotics are estimated to have an international market value of over Rs.2 billion.

Authorities also seized the vehicle used for transportation, which is valued at approximately Rs.15 million.

Customs officials confirmed that both the narcotics and the truck have been taken into custody, while further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend all individuals involved in the smuggling network.

Customs Enforcement, Gadani reiterated its strong commitment to combating narcotics trafficking and emphasized that strict measures will continue to be taken to prevent the illegal movement of drugs and safeguard society from this growing menace.
