Relief Payments to Be Made Digitally After NADRA Verification

PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan has said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has allocated Rs4 billion for the welfare and convenience of the families affected by the recent situation in Tirah Valley.

In a statement, Shafi Jan said that Rs920 million has been spent on transportation and food arrangements for the affected families during their journey up to January 31, 2026.

He stated that the provincial government has compiled a complete and fully auditable record of all expenditures. The record includes verification by the district administration and local elders, along with the signatures and CNIC details of the beneficiaries, ensuring transparency at every stage.

According to Shafi Jan, an amount of Rs2.40 billion has been allocated under the relief compensation package and monthly assistance for the affected families.

He added that all payments will be made digitally after registration and verification by NADRA, and the relief funds will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of the affected families.

The Special Assistant emphasized that complete transparency will be ensured in the payment of compensation, and a strict monitoring system has been put in place to safeguard public resources and funds.

He reaffirmed that the provincial government is fully committed to preventing corruption and promoting transparent governance, particularly in the distribution of relief and compensation to the affected families.
