Peshawar: Syed Nazar Hussain Shah has formally assumed charge as Chief Commissioner of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission (KPIC) after his appointment was notified by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Information & Public Relations Department, vide Notification No. SO (IPR) 17790439212248129/2026, dated May 12, 2026.
Upon his arrival at the Commission’s office, he was warmly received by senior officers and staff members. A brief introductory meeting was held, during which he interacted with the officers of the Commission and discussed the institution’s mandate, ongoing initiatives, and future priorities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shah reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening transparency, accountability, and citizens’ right to access information in the province. He emphasized the importance of effective implementation of the Right to Information framework and expressed his resolve to further enhance institutional performance and public service delivery.
