SWAT: Adviser to the Chief Minister on Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Tarand, and Secretary Sports Muhammad Asif visited the Commissioner Malakand Office on Wednesday to review the situation in Swat and discuss measures for promoting sports and tourism.

During a meeting, Deputy Commissioner Swat Suhail Ahmed briefed participants on the district’s current situation and tourism potential.

Addressing the meeting, Taj Muhammad Tarand said the government was committed to transforming Swat into a major hub of sports, adding that the valley’s youth possessed immense talent and would soon bring international recognition to Pakistan. He directed the district administration to resolve local issues through mutual cooperation and restore sports activities at the earliest to provide young people with greater opportunities.

Regional Information Officer Khalid Rehman Wazir, Assistant Commissioner Bahrain Muhammad Luqman, and other district officials also attended the meeting.
