PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, held a meeting with Director Sports Merged Areas Umar Arshad Khan to discuss preparations for upcoming major sporting events in the merged areas.
The meeting reviewed the proposed Under-19 Games, inter-school tournaments, women’s sports activities and inter-school games, along with other sports initiatives.
The two sides also discussed measures to promote sports in the merged areas, ensure maximum participation of young people and provide better opportunities for emerging athletes to showcase their talent.
Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand stressed the importance of expanding sports activities and creating more opportunities for the youth, while Umar Arshad Khan briefed him on preparations and ongoing initiatives of the Directorate of Sports Merged Areas.
