PESHAWAR: Renowned religious scholar Maulana Sheikh Idrees has said that while Pakistan is not short of educational institutions, there remains a dire need to align the younger generation with modern demands. He expressed confidence that Taqbeer College is fulfilling this vital role by providing both contemporary and religious education alongside practical and moral training for students. He was addressing a prestigious prize distribution ceremony held at the University Public School Auditorium, where he attended as the chief guest. Maulana Sheikh Idrees emphasized that education alone is not enough; character building and proper guidance are essential to prepare students as responsible and productive citizens. He noted that institutions like Taqbeer College are crucial for shaping youth who can excel not only in science and information technology but also contribute to placing Pakistan among the developed nations of the world. On the occasion, Maulana Idrees praised the efforts of Taqbeer Group of Colleges Director Muhammad Waqar Siddiqui and Principal Akbarullah Shinwari, describing their initiative as a “bold step towards preparing the new generation to meet modern-day challenges.” Addressing the gathering, Director Muhammad Waqar Siddiqui said the core mission of Taqbeer College is to provide quality education while nurturing a conscious and productive society. He further announced the launch of a comprehensive online education program aimed at students from remote areas, supported by a well-structured strategy. However, he clarified that students are still required to attend classes regularly at the campus to maintain both educational and moral standards. Principal Akbarullah Shinwari, along with other teachers and students, also addressed the ceremony. Outstanding students were awarded commemorative shields and certificates in recognition of their achievements, while teachers were honored with shields for their valuable services. The ceremony was attended by a large number of dignitaries, teachers, parents, and students, who hailed Taqbeer College’s efforts as a positive and revolutionary step in the country’s educational sector.
