Dr. Mehdi Taheri (Cultural Attaché, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Pakistan)
My dear compatriots, Pakistani friends, and all those who are reading this message…
This year, Nowruz holds a new and profound significance for us as the Iranian nation. We are welcoming spring under circumstances in which our country is facing an unequal and imposed war, initiated by the United States and the Zionist regime against our beloved homeland, Iran. It is a war in which we have lost hundreds of our leaders and innocent people—from the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Revolution, to the innocent children who fell victim to brutality in a school in Minab.
Yet Nowruz, a cherished heritage of our ancestors, has always been a harbinger of hope, renewal, and blossoming. Nowruz teaches us that after every winter, spring inevitably arrives, and darkness never lasts forever.
By the will of God, a new date has been marked this year, as Nowruz and Eid al-Fitr coincided. This convergence carries a profound and hopeful message for all Muslims, especially for us. Those who observed fasting throughout the month of Ramadan, exercised patience, and devoted themselves to worship, now await the reward from their Lord as Eid al-Fitr approaches. This timing teaches us that perseverance through difficulties ultimately leads to ease and success.
Eid al-Fitr is a symbol of the purity of human nature and the unity of the Islamic Ummah. At a time when the enemies of Islam have mobilized all their might to break the resolve of the great Iranian nation, this moment reminds us that if the Islamic Ummah returns to its true nature and stands united, no force has the power to confront it.

Indeed, we are going through days of hardship and trial. The bombardment of residential areas in Tehran, attacks on oil facilities in Kharg Island, and the cruel threats from American officials, speaking of “no mercy and no respite,”
all reveal the intensity of our enemies’ hostility and their malicious intentions. Yet history bears witness that this land, though wounded, has always emerged resilient and triumphant from every crisis and trial
The luminous message of Nowruz and Eid al-Fitr to our enemies is that the Iranian nation is alive, vigilant, and will never bow to oppression and tyranny. The unprecedented resistance demonstrated by Iran in this war—even deemed illogical by former American officials—has clearly shown that all the adversaries’ calculations have failed. They believed that a few missile strikes would break the resolve of our people, but now, due to Iran’s steadfast strategy, they find themselves trapped in a situation with no way out.
This year, as we set the Haft-Seen table and offer prayers for the beginning of the year, and as we greet Eid al-Fitr with “Allah u Akbar” on its eve, we all raise our voices in unison to pray to God that this unequal war comes to a swift end and is replaced with peace and tranquility. We pray that the shadow of oppression and aggression be lifted forever from Islamic countries, and that all Muslims may live with dignity and honor in unity and solidarity.
Nowruz 1405 is not only the beginning of the new year, but also a herald of a new chapter in the resistance and success of the Iranian nation. We hope that in this new year, we witness the decisive defeat of the aggressors and invaders, the return of peace and tranquility to our beloved homeland, and the strengthening of unity among the Islamic Ummah.
Eid Mubarak to you all; may Nowruz bring success to your lives, and may your deeds be accepted in the Divine Presence.
