PESHAWAR : Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation organized a ceremony at Radio Pakistan Peshawar Hall, where toolkits were distributed among boys and girls who successfully completed vocational training, while livelihood assistance packages were provided to parents and caregivers of vulnerable children.

The event was attended by representatives from various government departments, including officials from the Sustainable Development Unit, Local Government Department, Child Protection Commission, and Labour Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Helvetas Project Manager Shazia Hina said the initiative aims to protect vulnerable children, equip them with employable skills, and strengthen the economic resilience of their families. Trained youth shared their experiences, stating that the training had improved their skills, confidence, and employment prospects.

During the ceremony, toolkits were distributed to trained youth, while livelihood packages supporting small businesses such as grocery shops, clothing enterprises, and popcorn carts were provided to parents and caregivers.

The speakers appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of child protection, children’s rights, and economic empowerment for vulnerable families.
