Islamabad: The Pakistan Cycling Federation has officially announced the postponement of the 10th National Road Cycling Championship 2026, which was scheduled to take place from April 2 to April 5 in Islamabad. The decision has been made in light of prevailing circumstances, with authorities emphasizing the importance of ensuring safety and maintaining high standards of event management.

According to an official statement issued by the federation, the move aims to safeguard the interests of all stakeholders, including participating cyclists, team officials, organizers, and spectators. The championship, considered one of the key events in the national cycling calendar, was expected to attract top cyclists from across the country and serve as a platform to promote the sport at both national and grassroots levels.

Officials further stated that organizing a large-scale sporting event requires optimal conditions, and any uncertainty could compromise both safety protocols and the overall quality of the competition. Therefore, the federation deemed it appropriate to delay the event until a more suitable time.

The Pakistan Cycling Federation has assured all concerned that the revised schedule, along with further details regarding the championship, will be communicated in due course. Participants and affiliated units have been advised to stay in contact with the federation for updates.
