DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Traffic Police launched an operation against encroachments in various parts of the city under the supervision of Anwar Khattak, DSP Traffic, and Qaisar Hilal Sial, Incharge Traffic, following special directives of Ziauddin Ahmed.
According to details, the special campaign was carried out during the last ten days of Ramadan to facilitate citizens and control the increasing traffic congestion in Dera Ismail Khan, particularly in view of the ongoing construction of several flyovers in the city.
In this regard, traffic police teams conducted operations near the Old Vegetable Market and Mission Mor, where shopkeepers and pushcart vendors were directed not to create obstructions on roads and to conduct their businesses within the designated limits to ensure smooth flow of traffic and avoid inconvenience to the public.
Traffic officials stated that the rush in markets and on roads increases significantly during the final days of Ramadan, therefore operations against encroachments will continue to ensure traffic discipline and facilitate citizens.
They also appealed to the public to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the administration so that order and smooth traffic flow in the city can be maintained.
