DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A delegation from the United Nations Department of Safety & Security (UNDSS) held an important meeting with District Police Officer (DPO) Dera, Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, to review security arrangements and discuss ongoing United Nations–supported projects in the district.
During the meeting, the UNDSS delegation was briefed in detail by the DPO on the status of ongoing UN projects and the comprehensive security measures in place for their protection. The DPO emphasized that ensuring the security of UN-supported initiatives is among the top priorities of the district police.
He further stated that the Dera District Police are performing their professional duties round the clock to safeguard the lives and property of the people and to maintain peace and stability in the area.
The UNDSS delegation expressed full confidence in the professional capabilities of the Dera District Police, appreciating their effective role in maintaining peace, ensuring stability, and providing security to UN projects. The delegation also paid rich tribute to the courage, dedication, and services of police personnel.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a commemorative shield was presented to the UN delegation by the DPO Dera as a gesture of appreciation.
