WASHINGTON: The United States and Pakistan held the fourth U.S.-Pakistan Counterterrorism Dialogue in Washington, D.C., reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation against terrorism and promoting regional security.
The dialogue was co-chaired by US Coordinator for Counterterrorism Ambassador Gregory LoGerfo and Pakistan’s Special Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nabeel Munir. Both sides reviewed the evolving security environment and discussed ways to enhance intelligence sharing, strengthen border security, and disrupt terrorist facilitation networks.
The two countries reiterated their shared determination to combat terrorist organisations that threaten regional and global security, including ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K), al-Qaida (AQ), Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its affiliates.
The United States and Pakistan reaffirmed their commitment to sustained counterterrorism cooperation, emphasizing that their partnership aims to ensure the safety of both nations while contributing to lasting peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.
