MARDAN: Women University Mardan organized a ceremony to commemorate International Women’s Day, highlighting the vital role of women in the development and progress of society. The event was arranged by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) with the objective of recognizing the achievements of women and promoting awareness regarding women’s empowerment and gender equality.
The ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, while the distinguished guests included Miss Maria Mustafa, SP Mardan, and Miss Nazia Shah, a prominent political figure from Mardan.
Addressing the participants, the guest speakers shared their inspiring personal success stories and encouraged students to pursue their ambitions with determination, confidence, and dedication. They also appreciated the efforts of Women University Mardan for organizing such a meaningful event to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of women in society.


The speakers highlighted that Pakistani women have consistently demonstrated their strength, resilience, and capabilities across diverse fields, including education, healthcare, administration, politics, and entrepreneurship, thereby playing a crucial role in the country’s development and progress.
A large number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students attended the ceremony. The participants appreciated the efforts of the University, particularly ORIC, for arranging the event and reaffirmed the importance of sustained efforts for the empowerment and advancement of women in society.
