UPPER CHITRAL: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, HEADS, with the generous support of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, under the project “Restoring Social Services and Climate Resilience,” organized a heartfelt community gathering in Village Washich, UC Khot, District Upper Chitral.
The event brought together 75 participants, including 70 women and 5 men, in a strong expression of respect, recognition, and solidarity for the women of the community. Speakers highlighted that women are the strength of families, the foundation of communities, and a driving force behind resilience, care, and positive social change.
During the gathering, participants shared inspiring messages on the importance of women’s dignity, empowerment, and their invaluable contributions to community development. The event served not only as a celebration but also as a reminder that when women are respected, supported, and empowered, communities become stronger, more inclusive, and more hopeful.
HEADS and PPAF reaffirmed their commitment to promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and community resilience, while honoring the voices and leadership of women who continue to inspire positive change every day.
