PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, has said that the people of Buner—particularly Pir Baba and surrounding areas—affected by the recent floods and natural calamities will never be left alone by the provincial government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He stated that standing shoulder to shoulder with the people in difficult times is a religious, moral, and political responsibility, and PTI has always stood by its people through every trial.

Dr. Shafqat Ayaz said that, under the special directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, immediate relief is being provided to affected families. Relief efforts in the area include the provision of food, shelter, and medical assistance, while long-term rehabilitation plans are also being swiftly formulated. He further added that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s vision is the same: true politics is about serving the people, solving their problems, and standing by them in times of hardship.

He said that the people of Buner have always placed their trust in PTI, and it is the government’s foremost duty to stand with them in their pain and suffering. Dr. Shafqat Ayaz emphasized that the provincial government will not only ensure immediate relief but also mobilize all resources for the full rehabilitation of affected families. He pledged that the government will not rest until the lives of the flood victims return to normal.

During his visits to the affected areas, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz met with local residents, participated in Fateha Khwani (prayers for the deceased), and assured the affected families of all possible assistance. He stated that sharing in the people’s grief is the essence of true service, and this spirit is the hallmark of PTI.

Furthermore, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz shared that food supplies, blankets, medicines, and other essential items are being distributed among the affected families, while financial assistance is being provided to the most severely impacted households so they can stand on their feet again. He reiterated that the government will not ignore the people’s problems and will continue to extend all possible support.

He said that the provincial government has already begun planning for the reconstruction of damaged houses, restoration of destroyed roads, and repair of the local infrastructure. Schools and health centers will also be rehabilitated on a priority basis to ensure the swift normalization of everyday life for the people.

Dr. Shafqat Ayaz further stated that special teams have been formed for the affected areas to visit villages, listen to the people’s concerns, and take immediate measures for their resolution. He assured the people of Buner that they should not worry, as the provincial government, PTI leadership, and he himself are personally standing by them at all times.

He added that the courage and resilience of the people of Buner are commendable, and together they will overcome this trial and set Buner back on the path of progress and prosperity. He also highlighted the active participation of local youth and students in relief efforts, saying this reflects the unity and determination of the people of Buner. The government deeply appreciates their spirit and is committed to working alongside them to resolve the issues of the affected families.

Dr. Shafqat Ayaz also paid tribute to the role of women and elders, acknowledging that women stood as pillars of strength for their families during this crisis, while the elders inspired courage through their prayers and guidance. He said this collective spirit is the true strength of Buner, and through this unity, the challenges will soon be overcome.

Lastly, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz praised the positive role of the media, stating that it not only highlighted the plight of the affected areas but also played a key role in conveying the people’s voices to the government. He said that, through the media, the government was able to learn about the people’s problems in real time and take immediate measures for their relief.
