Mardan: As part of the concluding activities of its three-day international conference, Women University Mardan organized an educational visit for the conference delegation to the historic Buddhist Monastery at Takht-i-Bahi on the third day of the conference.

The delegation, comprising conference organizers, participants, and distinguished guests, visited the renowned archaeological site to explore its historical and cultural significance. Mr. Mian Wahab Shah, Incharge of the Buddhist Monastery Takht-i-Bahi, warmly received the delegation and provided a comprehensive briefing on the site’s rich history, architectural features, and its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Mr. Mian Wahab Shah highlighted the importance of the site as a symbol of the ancient Gandhara civilization and emphasized the need for preservation of such invaluable heritage. The delegation showed great interest and appreciation for the detailed and informative briefing, thoroughly enjoying the educational and cultural visit.

The Honorable Vice Chancellor of Women University Mardan and Patron-in-Chief, Professor Dr. Razia Sultana, expressed her sincere gratitude to Mr. Mian Wahab Shah for his insightful guidance. She remarked that such academic and cultural visits greatly enhance learning experiences and promote awareness of Pakistan’s rich historical heritage among scholars and visitors.

The visit concluded with a lunch arranged at the site, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and reflection, and marking a memorable and enriching end to the three-day conference organized by Women University Mardan.
