PESHAWAR: World Under-23 Squash Champion Noor Zaman met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jihan here at his office in Peshawar.
Noor Zaman, recently secured the U-23 World Championship title, a major achievement for Pakistan after several years.
During the meeting, Minister Syed Fakhar Jihan congratulated Noor Zaman on his remarkable success and presented him with a cash prize of Rs. 500,000 as a token of appreciation for bringing honor to the country and the province.
The minister lauded Noor Zaman’s dedication and outstanding performance, assuring him of continued support. “Insha’Allah, we will continue to support you in the future as well,” he stated.
Minister Fakhar Jihan encouraged all athletes to work hard and perform with excellence in sports events, emphasizing that the provincial government would continue to provide full support to talented players.
He further stated that under the vision of PTI founder Chairman Imran Khan and Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the KP government is committed to promoting sports and athletes. “We are taking every possible step to uplift the sports sector and ensure our province excels at the national and international level,” he added.
