TP REPORT
SWABI: Under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Women University Swabi and the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), an orientation training session on the Each One Teach One (EOTO) initiative was successfully conducted at the Main Campus of Women University Swabi.
The training marked the continuation of Phase I of the initiative, which was earlier organized at the Gulo Dheri Campus. During the initial phase, four batches of students from the Department of Political Science received comprehensive training. The current phase expanded participation to include students and faculty members of the Main Campus, thereby enhancing institutional preparedness for community-based literacy and numeracy interventions.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Wahid Hassan Shah, Assistant Director Literacy (NCHD), with assistance from Mrs. Khushbakht, Field Officer (NCHD). Participants were oriented on the objectives of EOTO, modern literacy and numeracy methodologies, baseline assessment mechanisms, and effective classroom management strategies aimed at improving grassroots educational delivery.
The MoU is being implemented through ORIC, Women University Swabi, under the coordination of Dr. Rehana, Deputy Director Academics, who is serving as the Focal Person for the EOTO initiative.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen commended the collaborative efforts of ORIC, NCHD, faculty members, and students for their dedication to advancing literacy and strengthening community engagement. She emphasized that such strategic partnerships play a pivotal role in aligning academic institutions with national development priorities and social responsibility frameworks.
This initiative underscores Women University Swabi’s strong commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
