SWABI: In the modern age of Artificial Intelligence, if teachers are capable and well-trained, students will naturally flourish, said Vice Chancellor of Women University Swabi, Prof. Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen. She was speaking at the certificate distribution ceremony of the one-month NAHE Faculty Development Program, organized by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at Women University Swabi.
Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen emphasized that faculty training and capacity building remain her top priorities. “When your teachers are strong, your students are bound to succeed,” she remarked. She also announced the university’s plans to extend this training to its nine affiliated colleges through the faculty members who have completed the program.
Suleman Ahmed, representative of the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), appreciated the commitment shown by Women University Swabi. “Among all Pakistani universities, Women University Swabi is the only institution where all three NAHE modules , Faculty, Administration, and WEMP have been successfully conducted,” he noted. He added that NAHE looks forward to collaborating again in the future with new training modules.
He urged the trained faculty members to now take responsibility for disseminating the knowledge and skills gained to their colleagues, ensuring a ripple effect across the academic community.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants and a renewed commitment to promoting excellence in higher education through continuous professional development.
