PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour Fazal Shakoor Khan has said that the Incumbent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is taking possible steps to empower and skill the daughter of labourers and enabling them to become self-reliant.
He said that acquiring technical education is key to reducing unemployment, adding that skilled labour is in high demand not only within the country but also abroad. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held in honour of the female students of the Workers Welfare Board (WWB) who achieved prominent positions in the annual examinations of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Board.
The Labour Minister Said that the WWB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is playing a vital role in impoertent mission by providing tecknical and vocational training to the children of workers across its various institutions in the province.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary WWB Muhammad Tufail Khattak, Director Education Arif Ali, Director Administration Saifullah Zafar Deputy Director Education Fareeda BiBi, Deputy Director Vocational Humaira Ishaq, Assistant Director Technical Salman, allongwith other officials, teachers, parents and students.


The provincial minister distributed appreciation certificates and cheques among students who performed exceptionally in short vocational courses including Falak Parveen of VIF Kohat by securing First position, Shumaila of VIF Amangarh, BiBi Fatima , Yasmeen, Shafia Hameed and Umeed of VIF Hakimabad Nowshera, while certificates were also awarded to Principals of the respective institute in recognition of their contribution. The commendation certificates were also awarded to Madam Rehana Yasmin Principal Vocational Institute Hakimabad Nowshera, Madam Rabia Principal VIF Kohat and Madam Nasreen Kosar Principal VIF Amangarh. Provincial Minister said the commendation certificates will also furnish to the teachers of institution whose students show best performance in board examinations in future.
