ABBOTTABAD: The Advancing Generation Foundation organized a 5-kilometre running race in Abbottabad, attracting more than 100 athletes, including children, youth and adults from across Pakistan.
The race started from Abbottabad Board and concluded at Abbottabad Sports Complex after covering a distance of 5 kilometres. Participants showed great enthusiasm and determination throughout the event.
Qurban Ali of Saiwal secured first position, followed by Abdul Wahab of Abbottabad in second and Aizaz Ali in third position.
International athlete and Backyard Ultra Asian Champion Jamal Saeed attended the event as a guest. He recently completed a remarkable 275-kilometre run from K2 Base Camp to Skardu.
The organizers said the race aimed to promote sports, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among young people and citizens. Participants appreciated the initiative and called for continuation of such healthy and positive activities.
