ISLAMABAD: Sardar Waqar Shahzad has expressed his sincere gratitude to H.E. Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Pakistan, and Mrs. Nguyen Bich Ngoc for hosting him at the Vietnamese Lunar New Year Reception held at Huong Viet Restaurant in Islamabad.
The event, organized on February 4, 2026, marked the celebration of Vietnam’s Lunar New Year and showcased the country’s rich cultural heritage through traditional cuisine and performances. Sardar Waqar Shahzad termed the evening a memorable experience, highlighting the warmth and elegance of the gathering. “It was a wonderful evening with great company, delicious food, and captivating cultural performances,” he said, appreciating the efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy in promoting cultural exchange.
Sardar Waqar Shahzad lauded the hospitality extended by Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan and his wife, noting that such initiatives play a vital role in fostering mutual understanding and people-to-people connections. He also expressed optimism about further strengthening Pakistan–Vietnam bilateral relations through continued diplomatic and cultural engagement.
