Dera Ismail Khan: An educational conference and oath-taking ceremony organized by the All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Subject Specialist Association (AKSSA), District Dera, was held at Government Higher Secondary School No. 2 Islamia, Dera Ismail Khan.
Former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur attended the event as the chief guest. Other prominent attendees included Deputy Commissioner Dera Abdul Nasir Khan, District Education Officer (Male) Dr. Masrat Hussain Baloch, District Education Officer (Female) Syeda Anjum, District Monitoring Officer, Chairman and Secretary Dera Education Board, Controller Education Board Kohat, subject specialist principals from across the district, physical education instructors, and other education officials.
General Secretary AKSSA District Dera Habibullah Khan Dotani formally welcomed the guests. During the ceremony, the chief guest administered the oath to the newly elected district cabinet of the association. District President Aqeel Ahmed Yousafzai presented the vote of thanks.
Addressing the gathering, Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur termed the teachers’ demands as legitimate and assured his effective and practical support for resolving these issues at both provincial and district levels. He emphasized that teachers are the true architects of the nation and play a vital role in fostering awareness and consciousness in society. He highly appreciated the services of the subject specialist community and thanked them on behalf of the nation.
Muhammad Ismail Dhakhi, Senior Subject Specialist and Vice President AKSSA, efficiently performed duties as stage secretary. On his request, a minute’s silence was observed to express solidarity with the victims of the recent suicide bombing in Islamabad.
During the ceremony, honorary shields were awarded to members who retired over the past year in recognition of their valuable educational services, while induction shields were presented to newly appointed subject specialists. The chief guest and other dignitaries were adorned with traditional Seraiki Ajrak, adding cultural significance to the event.
