RAWALPINDI: A high-level Pakistani delegation arrived in Tehran on Wednesday as Islamabad continues its facilitation role in ongoing diplomatic exchanges between the United States and Iran.

The delegation is being led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, alongside Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. Upon arrival, the delegation was received at Tehran Airport by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, underscoring the continued diplomatic engagement between the regional stakeholders.

The visit forms part of sustained mediation efforts in the US-Iran dialogue process, with Pakistan acting as a key intermediary in ongoing message exchanges between Washington and Tehran.

According to diplomatic sources, the development comes amid expectations that Islamabad may host a second round of talks between the two sides at the end of next week, with federal authorities already directing relevant departments to ensure logistical and security readiness for the anticipated high-level engagement.
