Peshawar: An important meeting of the Pakistan Hindkowan Tehreek was held at Taj Soda House in Qissa Khwani Bazaar, Peshawar, to review public complaints received from various areas of the city regarding worsening governance and administrative conditions. The meeting was attended by Chairman Saqaf Yasar, Provincial President Akbar Sethi, Muhammad Waqar Lodhi, Mazhar Rahim, Ali Raza, Ahmar Zia, Ashfaq Hussain, Insha Riaz Ahmad, Nauman Rauf, and other office-bearers.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Saqaf Yasar stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has pushed the province into a state of severe deterioration. There is no sign of development work, while the government remains focused solely on political activities and rallies. He added that the systems of electricity, gas, water supply, and roads have completely collapsed, leaving the public in serious distress, while the government continues to show complete indifference.

Provincial President Akbar Sethi said that Peshawar presents a picture of devastation. Continuous complaints are being received from areas such as Yakatoot, Gulbahar, Karim Pura, and Sikandar Pura, where streets are in disrepair, drainage systems are broken, roads are filled with potholes, and heaps of garbage are a common sight. The sanitation system is almost non-existent, making life miserable for residents.

He further added that the severe shortage of gas, electricity, and water has made life unbearable for citizens, while government representatives are more focused on increasing their own privileges and salaries instead of resolving public issues. He questioned what crime the people of Peshawar have committed to deserve such neglect.

The leaders demanded that the government take immediate and emergency measures to address public issues; otherwise, the public will be forced to make decisive choices to secure their rights.
