PESHAWAR: The 17th ITF Taekwondo Belt Promotion Test and Championship concluded successfully at the Hayatabad Sports Complex, Peshawar, featuring around 250 male and female athletes who demonstrated outstanding talent, discipline, and competitive spirit.

Participants competed across various age groups and weight categories, showcasing strong technical skills, fitness, and sportsmanship. Alongside the championship, a belt promotion test was also conducted, allowing athletes to qualify for higher ranks based on their performance.

The closing ceremony was attended by Chief Guest, Federal Youth Parliament General Secretary Mr. Saqib Ali, Senior Member Hujjat Ullah, and Vice Principal of Pakturk Maarif School, who distributed certificates and awards among successful participants. They appreciated the organizers for arranging a well-managed event and highlighted the importance of sports in promoting positive youth engagement.

Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ITF Taekwondo Association Mr. Naveed Habibi, along with coaches and officials, expressed commitment to further promoting Taekwondo across the province and providing more opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills at competitive platforms.

Officials said the event reflects the growing interest in martial arts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the efforts of local sports bodies to nurture emerging talent.
