PROVINCE REPORT
PESHAWAR: Trials for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Badminton Team for the upcoming National Junior Badminton Championship were successfully held at the Peshawar Sports Complex, with male and female players from across the province participating in the selection process.
The trials were attended by D Accountant Shah Faisal, Administrator Yusuf Khan, Secretary General Mian Sadaqat Shah, and coaches Hayatullah and Bushra Begum.
Following a competitive selection process, Muhammad Umar, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Ryan Khan (Peshawar), Najamul Thaqib (Charsadda), and Hasher Shah (Kohat) were selected for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Under-19 Boys Team.
In the girls’ category, Aisha (Abbottabad), Abira, Ahmarin, and Hina (Peshawar) secured places in the provincial squad.
President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Badminton Association Bilal Khan and General Secretary Mian Sadaqat Shah stated that the team was selected purely on merit and performance displayed during the trials.
They expressed confidence that the selected players would perform well and proudly represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the forthcoming National Junior Badminton Championship.
