ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met with Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal here on Tuesday and discussed the provision of radiology machinery and medical equipment for Dinar Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.

During the meeting, the Governor highlighted the difficulties faced by cancer patients from the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and urged the federal government to extend support for the provision of modern medical equipment to the hospital.

He said that special attention should be given to underdeveloped and affected areas of the province in the health sector, adding that improved facilities at Dinar Hospital would provide significant relief to patients from southern districts.

Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal assured full cooperation and said that the required machinery and medical equipment would be provided. He reiterated the federal government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation between the federal government and the province in the health sector.

Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentary Leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Ahmad Karim Kundi was also present during the meeting.
