MARDAN: Women University Mardan successfully convened the 19th Meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee (F&PC) followed by the 30th Meeting of the Syndicate under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana.

The Finance and Planning Committee reviewed the University’s financial position and budget estimates for the Financial Year 2026–27 and recommended the proposed budget for approval by the Syndicate.

During the 30th Syndicate Meeting, members unanimously approved the recommendations of the Finance and Planning Committee. The Syndicate also confirmed the minutes and actions taken on the decisions of its previous meeting and deliberated on various academic and administrative matters.

A key achievement of the meetings was the approval of the Recurring Budget Estimates for FY 2026–27 for onward submission to the Senate of Women University Mardan. The approved budget reflects total available resources of Rs. 980.30 million against projected expenditures of Rs. 798.65 million, resulting in an estimated surplus of Rs. 181.65 million.

The participants were further informed that the University has successfully established and strengthened its Endowment/Reserve Fund to Rs. 300 million, underscoring its commitment to long-term financial sustainability, institutional development, academic excellence, and research advancement.

The Syndicate, as well as the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Registrar, Mr. Adnan Ahmad, and his team, and the Treasurer, Mr. Faheem Shah, and his team, for their commitment and hard work in ensuring the successful conduct of both meetings. The Vice Chancellor particularly commended the efficient management and coordination of the Registrar Office and the Treasurer Office in facilitating the proceedings and professionally presenting the University’s surplus budget before the Finance and Planning Committee (F&PC) and the Syndicate for approval.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana reaffirmed the University’s commitment to transparency, academic excellence, innovation, and the prudent utilization of resources for the benefit of students, faculty, and society at large.

The meetings concluded with a vote of thanks to all members for their valuable contributions and continued support towards the progress and development of Women University Mardan.
