PROVINCE REPORT
CHAKDARA: Ms. Laiba Gul of the Department of Mathematics, University of Malakand, successfully defended her MPhil thesis titled “Eradication of Polio through Booster Vaccination Strategies: A Mathematical Modeling Approach.” As part of her research, she also published a paper in a high-impact Q1 journal.
Her research was supervised by Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad and co-supervised by Dr. Nigar Ali, while Dr. Gul Rahmat, Associate Professor at Islamia College University Peshawar, served as the external examiner. Prof. Dr. Rahmat Ali, Chairman of the Department, faculty members and the external examiner appreciated the research and congratulated the scholar. The study contributes to evidence-based strategies supporting polio eradication efforts in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
