Senior officials of the district administration also remained present on the occasion and continuously monitored the arrangements.
Addressing the gathering, ANP Provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that Maulana Khan Zeb Shaheed had dedicated his entire political life to peace, democracy, public rights, and a better future for the Pashtun people. He stated that the Pashtun nation has always pursued a constitutional, democratic, and peaceful struggle for its rights and identity, and that this journey would continue despite all challenges. He emphasized that the voice of truth, justice, and peace cannot be silenced, nor can people be forced through pressure, threats, or fear to abandon their legitimate demands. He reaffirmed that the struggle for the rights, peace, and prosperity of the Pashtun people would continue on every platform until it reaches its logical conclusion.
Member of the Provincial Assembly Nisar Baz, in his address, urged the federal and provincial governments to set aside their political differences and take joint and effective measures to ensure lasting peace and stability in Pashtun regions. He said that the prevailing uncertainty and insecurity had caused immense hardship for the people and that it was time for the governments and state institutions to fulfill their responsibilities in ensuring public safety and restoring peace.
On the occasion, Sheikh Jahan zada, a member of the ANP Central Council and elder brother of Maulana Khan Zeb Shaheed, said that the martyr’s struggle was not merely political but a movement for peace, awareness, brotherhood, and public rights.
