STAFF REPORT
PESHAWAR:The Press Information Department (PID) Peshawar organized a high-level seminar today to address the emerging security challenges posed by Fitna-e-Hind and the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), with a particular focus on their destabilizing influence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
The seminar convened a diverse panel of stakeholders, including senior government officials, defense analysts, academics, journalists, and representatives of civil society. The discussions explored the insidious role of hostile actors, especially India-backed elements (Fitna-e-Hind), who are allegedly engaged in hybrid warfare tactics aimed at creating internal discord through sectarian violence, disinformation, and psychological operations.
Participants voiced grave concern over the resurgence of TTP activities and their reported collaboration with foreign entities to disrupt Pakistan’s internal peace and national unity. The reactivation of such militant groups was described as a serious threat to the country’s sovereignty.
Speakers reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s strong stance that terrorism in any form will not be tolerated. They emphasized that the state remains resolute in defending its citizens, territorial integrity, and ideological foundations against all internal and external threats.
Tributes were paid to the martyrs of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of the nation. Their legacy was honored as the bedrock of Pakistan’s ongoing struggle for peace and stability.
The seminar underscored the need for proactive public engagement to counter extremist ideologies and misinformation. It was highlighted that media platforms, educational institutions, and religious leaders must play a pivotal role in fostering national cohesion and presenting effective counter-narratives.
In his concluding remarks, the Director of PID Peshawar emphasized that such awareness initiatives are vital tools in the fight against terrorism. He stated that seminars like these are instrumental in exposing anti-state narratives, cultivating informed citizenry, and promoting collective national resilience.
The session concluded with a heartfelt prayer for the martyrs and a renewed pledge to safeguard Pakistan’s peace, security, and sovereignty under all circumstances.
