PESHAWAR: Elections for the Pakistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation for the 2026–2030 term have been completed, with Tariq Parvez elected President, Imdadullah Memon Senior Vice President and Tariq Zafar Secretary General.

The elections were held at the Pakistan Olympic House in Lahore under the supervision of the Election Commission of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Association. Muhammad Abdullah, Advocate High Court, served as Chairman of the commission, while Ijaz Ahmed Rana, Advocate High Court, was Secretary. Muhammad Wajihuddin and Sehrish Hawar were members.

Pakistan Olympic Association observer Muhammad Jahangir, Chairman of the Pakistan Karate Federation, attended the election process. Representatives of affiliated associations and departments from across the country also participated in the General Council meeting.

According to the final notification, 21 office-bearers were elected unopposed for a four-year term. Muhammad Umar Saleem and Syed Haider Abbas were elected Vice Presidents, Khalid Ali Joint/Deputy Secretary and Abdul Ali Treasurer. Several Associate Secretaries, Executive Members and Individual Members were also elected.

Speaking on the occasion, newly elected President Tariq Parvez said the federation had consistently organised national junior, senior and fitness competitions. He recalled that national events were held in Peshawar in 2022, 2023 and 2025 and in Lahore in 2024, while Pakistani athletes also secured medals at international competitions.

Tariq Parvez thanked affiliated associations, departments, the Judges Association, Athletes Commission and individual members for their cooperation in ensuring the unopposed election.

He pledged to take comprehensive measures, in consultation with all stakeholders, to promote bodybuilding and fitness and provide Pakistani athletes with greater opportunities at national and international levels.
