PESHAWAR: The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) welcomed its new Batch 2026 with a comprehensive orientation programme aimed at familiarising students and their families with the institute’s academic environment, facilities, regulations and campus life.

The programme began with a formal welcome and lunch hosted for the newly enrolled students and their families.

Director Admissions Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sabir, in his opening presentation, highlighted GIKI’s position as a premier engineering institution and briefed students about its academic facilities, while stressing the importance of discipline, punctuality and academic integrity.

Director Admissions and Examinations Faheem Akhtar provided detailed guidance on timetables, course registration, grading and evaluation procedures and other academic requirements.

Heads of various departments also interacted with students, answered their queries and explained departmental curricula and procedures.

Director Security Imran briefed the newcomers on campus entry protocols and security measures, urging them to promptly report any concerns or incidents to the Security Department.

The orientation concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, providing students an opportunity to engage directly with faculty members and the administration.

The institute reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing future engineers and leaders through academic excellence, discipline and a supportive learning environment.
