PROVINCE REPORT

TANK: PTI MNA Dawar Khan Kundi has expressed serious concerns over the quality of World Bank-funded development projects in Tank, involving around Rs370 million for public health, water supply, roads and beautification.

He said many water-supply borewells in Tank city were reportedly not providing adequate water, forcing residents to purchase water through tankers. He also called for laboratory testing of borewell water in rural areas where poor-quality or salty water had reportedly been found.

Dawar Khan Kundi also questioned the quality of roads, bridges and other infrastructure schemes, stressing that development works must meet required standards and funds must be used transparently.

He said he would not compromise on substandard or irregular development works and would pursue the matter through lawful and constitutional means to protect public interest.
