PESHAWAR : Adviser to the Chief Minister on Industries and Commerce, Dr. Muhammad Irshad, formally inaugurated the KPEZDMC Resource Planning (KRP) System, a modern digital platform developed in-house by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC).

The initiative aims to modernize institutional operations and provide improved, transparent and efficient services to investors and industrialists.

Comprising more than 30 integrated modules, the KRP System brings together key organizational functions, including finance, procurement, human resources, legal affairs, governance, administration and investor facilitation on a single digital platform. The system is expected to minimize paperwork, improve operational efficiency, strengthen coordination and enhance accountability.

Through the new platform, investors will be able to access economic zones’ master plans, check the availability of industrial plots, submit applications, make digital payments and track the progress of their applications online. A dedicated grievance redressal mechanism has also been introduced to ensure transparent and timely resolution of investors’ complaints.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Muhammad Irshad emphasized that transparency, accountability and efficient service delivery were fundamental pillars of the government’s industrial development agenda.

He stressed the need to ensure greater transparency in the allotment of industrial plots, discourage speculative buying and selling, and take strict action against the misuse of industrial land or keeping allotted plots unused for extended periods.

Dr. Irshad reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the business environment, facilitating genuine industrial investment and promoting economic activities and employment opportunities across the province.

On the occasion, KPEZDMC Chief Executive Officer Shahryar Gul described the KRP System as a significant milestone towards digital governance and improved institutional performance.

He appreciated the efforts of the company’s in-house information technology team for developing the platform and said that the system had the potential to be introduced in other government departments as well, opening new avenues for institutional cooperation and revenue generation.

During the ceremony, a live demonstration was also conducted, showcasing the procedures for online applications for industrial plots, digital payments, application tracking and grievance management.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) is a government-owned company responsible for the development and management of economic and special economic zones, facilitating industrial investment and promoting employment opportunities in the province.

The launch of the KRP System marks an important step towards modernizing industrial administration, strengthening investor confidence and ensuring transparent and effective utilization of industrial land. The initiative is expected to contribute to accelerating industrial growth, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
