PESHAWAR: In light of the increasing trend of corruption in society, and in accordance with the directives of NAB Chairman Lt. General (R) Nazir Ahmed Butt, the Director General of the National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Farmanullah, will personally hear public complaints.
According to details, the Director General NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will hear public complaints directly on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa office, located in the PDA Complex, Phase-5, Hayatabad, Peshawar. Relevant officers will also be present with the Director General on this occasion.
Public cooperation is also essential in the fight against corruption. In this regard, complaints will be heard against any public official who has deliberately benefitted someone unlawfully from the national treasury, caused loss to the national exchequer, embezzled public funds, acquired assets beyond known sources of income, awarded government contracts in violation of prevailing laws, or against individuals or entities who have deceived the public and misappropriated funds under the pretense of offering high returns or selling plots through societies and schemes.
Under the National Accountability Ordinance 1999, for a case of public fraud to be taken up, it must involve at least 100 affected individuals, and the misappropriated amount must be at least 500 million PKR. Complainants are required to submit their complaints in written form, along with a copy of their CNIC (national identity card), an affidavit (available on NAB’s website: www.nab.gov.pk), and preliminary evidence/documents to the NAB office in Peshawar.
The Director General has stated that all complaints will be investigated in an extremely transparent manner, and legal action will be taken against the accused in accordance with the law.
