ISLAMABAD: A grand reception ceremony was held today at the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Headquarters in Islamabad to honor Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson BISP, on the occasion of her election to the Senate for the third consecutive term.
The event was jointly organized by the Benazir Income Support Program Officers Association Pakistan and the All Pakistan BISP Employees Welfare Association, under the leadership of Sardar Azmat Khan (President, Officers Association) and Sardar Shiraz Ahmed (President, Employees Welfare Association).
Chairperson Rubina Khalid was warmly welcomed by BISP officials, staff, and guests. A congratulatory cake-cutting ceremony was held with the participation of Additional Secretary BISP Dr. Ismat Nawaz, along with all Director Generals of the institution.
Senator Rubina Khalid: “This is a Shared Success”
In her address, Senator Rubina Khalid expressed heartfelt gratitude and stated:
“This success is not mine alone it belongs to all of us. The journey we began for the betterment of BISP beneficiaries must continue with even greater resolve. By the grace of Allah Almighty, we will strengthen our efforts not only for the development of BISP but also to resolve the genuine issues of our hardworking employees.”
She reaffirmed her commitment to making BISP a more stable, active, and effective institution, and vowed to utilize her position in the Senate to further the mission of social protection and inclusive development.
Leadership Vows Continued Commitment to Public Service
Dr. Ismat Nawaz, Additional Secretary BISP, congratulated Senator Khalid and praised her visionary leadership, stating:
“Under the guidance of our Chairperson, BISP will continue to serve with greater dedication and hard work, ensuring welfare and development for the most deserving segments of society.”
The ceremony concluded with a renewed pledge by all BISP officers and staff to uphold the institution’s mandate and continue their collective efforts for the welfare of underprivileged families across Pakistan.
